The Big Ostrich At 'Gatorama'
Combined front and side views. I may have seen a few other ostriches as tall as this one, but none with such a massive body.
The Big Banyan Tree at the Thomas Edison/Henry Ford Winter Homes and Museum
This is the center of the tree, where it began to grow from a four foot sapling some 80 years ago. The branches of this species of tree put down their own roots, which develop into additional trunks, which support more growth of the branches, which then put down more roots, etc., etc. The tree continues out for a considerable distance in all directions from this point.
